You already know that your Jeep is an awesome vehicle. They’re known for their ruggedness and functionality. As great as they are, however, a few issues are more commonly reported than they might be across other brands, a pattern typical of any auto brand. We’ll accurately diagnose your vehicle, but we’re happy to share some of the known issues with you. If you drive a Cherokee, the surprising concern may be the electric shifter. This can enhance the danger of a rollaway. A front axle shake in the Gladiator leads to decreased handling and control. As speed increases, the problem becomes more noticeable. Your Compass is more likely to fail to start than some other Jeeps. This is often related to the muffler or battery. The Compass may also have braking system problems that cause excessive grinding and vibration. The popular Wrangler has more reports of oil leaks. Another issue is engine stalls and popping sounds, a tell-tale sign that combustion occurs outside the chamber. This is especially problematic in the 1997–2006-year models. Some Jeep enthusiasts also complain of automatic transmission trouble, such as the unit getting stuck in one gear.
